#21: Sore Throat

Indications: Sore throat; flu (in combination with Doskar remedy #20 Flu Support).

Description:
Often, a sore throat is a preliminary indication of a cold or the flu. During the first stage of a sore throat, the sinuses inflame which leads to the symptoms we associate with a sore throat: irritation, burning and difficulty swallowing. This inflammation is part of the body's natural defense against a bacterial infection. By swelling, the body resists the bacteria from penetrating and taking hold.

After this phase, various other body processes begin, the bacterial infection grows and puss develops. This is when we see the throat turn red and later yellow.

A typical antibiotic treatment for sore throat cannot deliver a long-term cure as the body's own defenses continue to be weakened and repeated infections may occur.

Ingredients:
Mercurius iodatus ruber4x combines the effects of mercury and iodine, both of which help to reduce inflammation.

Causticum 6x targets inflammation in the mucous membranes of the throat and vocal cords to help ease hoarseness.

Belladonna 4x works during the second phase of the infection to alleviate difficulty swallowing and pain.

Apis 4x is used to treat severe inflammation.
